I joined CABI back in 1980, shortly after taking a degree in zoology at the University of Hull. Since joining CABI I have seen a revolution in the field of scientific information provision, most notably with the arrival of the Internet. I have worked mainly on the veterinary information for the CAB Abstracts Database in the time I have been here, but I have also worked on the Animal Health and Production Compendium, and on our Internet portals, AnimalScience.com and VetMed Resource. More recently I have taken responsibility for the animal and human science sections of the Content Development team here at CABI. As CABI is a truly Global organisation, I have had the opportunity to work on information projects in the developing world, and have seen how important access to quality information is for scientists around the world.
