A statement published last week by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) describes global temperature and aspects of the global climate in 2010. The “WMO Statement on the Status of the Global Climate” series was launched in 1993, at the beginning of climate awareness generated by the Second World Climate Conference, which took place in 1990. Today, the report is a recognised authoritative source of information for the scientific community, the media and the public at large. The present WMO Statement on the Status of the Global Climate in 2010 is the latest in the series. As I was adding it to the CABI Environmental Impact resource, I thought I should also highlight some of the results in this blog.
